One part of Gig Harbor is moving fast even with more homes for sale
Here is the number that should change how you think about this market. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 69.6% of homes in ZIP 98403 going under contract within two weeks of listing. That is the three months ending August 31, 2026. More homes came to market, yet buyers still moved fast.
That share is up 23.6 points from the same three months in 2025, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Not every ZIP code in this market looks like that. But 98403 is clearly its own story right now.

The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median days on market in 98403 at 7 days for this period. That is 6 days shorter than a year before. Homes here are not sitting. If you are a buyer in this part of Gig Harbor, a clean offer and a quick decision matter.

More homes for sale, but supply is still lean

Rates are up nationally, which is worth knowing
Redfin reported the weekly average mortgage rate hit 7.4% on October 8, a three-year high. That is a real cost for buyers. Realtor.com also noted that price cuts hit 20.8% of listings nationally in September, the highest share since October 2022. Gig Harbor is not immune to those pressures.
